Study with additional language support

The Erasmus Friendly Programme is an initiative of the University of Macerata designed to support incoming exchange students by making it easier to identify courses that offer additional language support, while promoting the internationalisation of the University's degree programmes.

Through this Programme, instructors may provide:

  • additional learning materials in one or more foreign languages;
  • the possibility of taking the final examination in one or more foreign languages.

The Programme is available to students participating in Erasmus+ for StudiesInternational Bilateral Agreements(including non-EU partnerships), and other international mobility programmes offered by the University.

📚 How to use the Erasmus Friendly lists

To prepare your Learning Agreement, we recommend following these steps:

  1. Start from the Course Catalogue to explore the University's academic offer, including course descriptions, syllabi, semesters, ECTS credits and language of instruction.
  2. Consult the Erasmus Friendly lists to identify courses offering additional language support.
  3. Select your courses in accordance with the academic rules for incoming students.
  4. Submit your Learning Agreement to your Academic Coordinator for approval.

ℹ️ Please note

Most courses at the University of Macerata are taught in Italian, unless otherwise specified in the Course Catalogue.

The additional languages indicated in the Erasmus Friendly Programme refer exclusively to the possible availability of supplementary learning materials and/or the possibility of taking the final examination in those languages. They do not indicate the language in which the course is taught.

⚠️ Important

Before preparing your Learning Agreement, please remember that:

  • the Course Catalogue remains the official source for course descriptions, syllabi, semesters, ECTS credits and language of instruction;
  • the Erasmus Friendly lists are designed to complement the information available in the Course Catalogue;
  • your Learning Agreement must always be approved by your Academic Coordinator;
  • at least 51% of the ECTS credits included in your Learning Agreement must be selected from your hosting Department at UniMC. Courses from other Departments may also be included, provided this requirement is respected.
