HOW TO APPLY FOR AN EXTENSION OF YOUR ERASMUS PERIOD

1. Ask your home university for a document confirming that you have been allowed to extend your stay. In the document, they should specify the number of the extra months granted and the reason why you have applied for an extension. Ask your University to e-mail this authorization to prolong your stay to anna.desantis@unimc.it.

2. Fill in and sign our application form for extending your Erasmus study period. Please forward it to your Erasmus Departmental Delegate/Coordinator in Macerata for the approval and confirmation of the extension of your stay at the University of Macerata. The Unimc Erasmus Departmental Delegate/Coordinator shall then send the signed document to the International Mobility Office (anna.desantis@unimc.it).

All the paperwork for the extension must be completed by 15 February every year.
Afterwords, the International Mobility Office will issue an official extension certificate for you.

3. To finish the process, you will have to prepare a new Learning Agreement (or fill in the section "Changes in the Learning Agreement") with the courses that you would like to attend the second semester as well. The new LA (or the section "Changes in the Learning Agreement") must be signed by your Erasmus Coordinator in Macerata and your Home University and by you. Please submit a copy of the new Learning Agreement (or the section "Changes in the Learning Agreement") to the International Mobility Office by 15 February every year.

We remind non-EU citizens to personally and quickly renew/extend their residence permit.

4. If you are living in a university residence, please check with the residence office the possibility to stay in the same room for the additional period of time. If no rooms are available, click on this section to look for private accommodation in Macerata.
