STEP 1: Arrival certificate

Upon your arrival in Macerata for your exchange program, it is important to schedule an appointment with the International Mobility Office to register your presence. This appointment is necessary to receive your Arrival Certificate, which officially marks the beginning of your mobility in Macerata.

Appointments can be made between September 16th and October 11th, 2024.
If you arrive before September 16th, we will consider September 16th as arrival date and start day of mobility.
For students arriving on or after September 16th,
the appointment date will be considered as the arrival date and start day of mobility.

Pay attention when you choose the date of your appointment!

To book your appointment, please email anna.desantis@unimc.it starting from September 2nd.

The appointment will take place at the International Mobility Office, located near Piazza della Libertà at Via della Pescheria Vecchia n. 8 – 62100 Macerata. Please ensure you have completed the Arrival form with the necessary documents, including your

 

If you are an extra-European student, you will receive additional instructions via email about immigration procedures to follow upon your arrival at UniMC.


STEP 2: Welcome Days

The Welcome Days are addressed to all incoming students taking part in a mobility programme (Erasmus+ for Studies, Bilateral Agreements, Double & Joint Degrees).
Students are introduced to the University and the city of Macerata and provided with all the information needed to ensure a great and fruitful stay at UniMC.

The Welcome Days take place at the beginning of each semester.

 

STEP 3: Start of activities

Classes may start earlier or later than the official start dates of the terms published in the Academic Calendar. To be sure of the exact start date of your classes, you need to check the class timetable of each course unit, which should be available on the course teacher webpage between 4 and 2 weeks before the start of classes.

You don't have to enroll in the courses you will take, you just need to list them in your LA and sign up for each course in the University system before the exam session.

 

You will receive detailed instructions during the Welcome Days, and through emails.

STEP 4: Non-EU citizens

All non-EU citizens will be contacted by the International Mobility Office and will be provided with detailed information about how to submit the residence permit application or the Dichiarazione di presenza (declaration of presence).

Required documents:

  • passport
  • residence permit issued by an EU country (if you have one)
  • 1 revenue stamp/marca da bollo (€16.00)
  • 4 passport format pictures (only 2 for the “dichiarazione di presenza”)
  • tenancy agreement/comunicazione di ospitalità (either a contract for university housing or a private accommodation agreement)
  • European Health Insurance Card or health insurance policy/certificate (see step 5 for further information)
  • Italian tax identification number (Codice Fiscale)
