How to apply for the University Residence Accommodation

Exchange students participating in the Erasmus or Extra-EU Bilateral Agreements program can choose to request housing in the University Residences during their time in Macerata.

University Residences for Erasmus and Extra-EU Bilateral Agreement students are managed by Faro Housing - ERDIS Residences are not accessible to Exchange students.

Faro Housing offers two types of accommodation options:

- On-campus Accommodation (single or double rooms on the University Campus in Macerata)

- Off-campus Housing Option (single or double rooms in University Apartments in Macerata)

These options have different services for students. For more details on accommodation types, costs, and facilities, please visit the Faro Housing website.

Please note that students should not contact Faro Housing directly. The International Mobility Office will handle accommodation requests.

To indicate accommodation preferences, students must select 'University Residence' in the Application Form.

Application Form Deadlines:

  • June 15th – for students coming for the first (fall) semester / full academic year
  • October 30th for students coming for the second (spring) semester

Once the Application Form deadline passes, the International Mobility Office will provide Faro Housing with student accommodation requests.

Students assigned a room will receive a confirmation email indicating their allocated residence. Emails will be sent by mid-July for fall semester/full academic year students and mid-November for spring semester students. Students have one week to accept or decline the offer.

Please note that there are limited rooms available, so students interested in University Residence accommodation should apply promptly.

While waiting for a response on the University Residence Accommodation

While waiting for a response on the university residence accommodation, we advise students to consider looking at private rental flats or rooms in Macerata.

Due to the limited availability in university residences, it is important for students who have not secured a room or have indicated a preference for a private flat in town in their application form to start searching for accommodation independently by browsing private rental ads.
